Sally Wilson Named Regional Director for U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce | North Carolina Jacksonville - Wilmington Region (NC)

A member of the United States Women Chamber of Commerce, Sally Wilson, Founder, CEO of A Private Selection, Inc, has been designated as the Regional Director for the United States Women’s Chamber of Commerce | North Carolina Jacksonville-Wilmington Region.

Introduction

My name is Sally Wilson and I am a member of the US Women’s Chamber of Commerce.  Long overdue, this organization has already begun placing women on the financial map and is a force to be reckoned with.  It is the most influential not-for-profit economic women’s organization in America.  In the 20th Century women fought for and won the right to vote.  In the 21st Century women are fighting for and gaining access to economic equality by becoming financially independent.  Being employed is not an option!  It is a right –the right of equal service is the right of equals pay.  Being self-employed is now a fact of life for some but not as many as should be.

Three economic challenges women are still faced with are: Divorce, widowhood and Income competition.  The US Women’s Chamber of Commerce is driving its movement to establish the Women-Led economy by using its platform of influence, innovation and opportunity. (127)  This Chamber is important to all women because (1) ti does not dilute women with unachievable goals or objectives and (2) it will empower every woman affiliated with it depending upon her effort to succeed.

The US Women’s Chamber of Commerce is raising labor participation rates of women across this country.  It will continue to increase women’s purchasing power, which in 2007, was $1, 2 trillion in receipts from 7.8 million women owned businesses—accounted for by the United States Census Newsroom.  The Women-Led economy is the most influential economic force in America.

I believe destiny has placed me in my present environment—North Carolina with definite limitations as the great disciplinarian.  My responsibility is to accept the challenge of a self-appointed task having definite limitations for the sole purpose of completing that assignment from the place where I reside.  That assignment chosen by me is to awaken and assist women to become who they are destined to be by introducing them to the US Women’s Chamber of Commerce.  More importantly, the U. S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce will raise the consciousness level of some, if not most, allowing them know that they do have options,  and the only people who can stop them from accomplishing something greater for themselves than what they have already achieved, are them themselves.
