Retirement Planning and the Workplace

We expect there to be a number of suggestions from Congress regarding workplace savings programs and general retirement planning.
There are several challenges putting pressure on retirement planning including lower incomes, less two-earner families, investment return shortfalls and the federal government's need to bring in more revenue (which can cause legislators to find ways to reduce retirement/investment related tax incentives).
At W-Economist, we will begin posting links to and discussions of articles, studies and legislation on this topic. It is vitally important that women be aware of what is going on and that the changes made in workplace savings programs and other retirement savings options to assure that our views and needs are part of the discussions and the outcome.
